Help Build Cabins at Camp Metigoshe [Early May through late August 2017]
Please join us to help build cabins at Camp Metigoshe! These are projects of the Ensure the Adventure capital campaign. In summer 2017 a minimum of three new double cabins will be built at camp – maybe even more if they go faster than anticipated! We look forward to welcoming Mission Builders and volunteers back with us to build these cabins.
Some volunteers may be here for one day, others may bring up a camper/trailer for help out for a week or a month. The opportunities are endless – and we’d love to have you join this Adventure Anchored in Christ!
Are you interested in volunteering? It’s an easy process:
- Call Melissa Kornkven to set a time to volunteer [701-263-4788]
- Print the 2017 Volunteer Form, complete and bring with you when you come to volunteer
[If you or someone you know does not have access to a printer, please call our office so we can mail out the Volunteer Form.]
Questions? Please call or email associate director, Melissa, at (701) 263-4788 or melissa@MetigosheMinistries.com

The Metigoshe Ministries Quilt Auction is an annual event held to raise funds to provide stipends for the nearly 45 college-aged staff hired as summer counselors. Local churches, women’s groups, and individuals donate hand-made quilts, afghans, wall-hangings, etc. to be auctioned off live during the event. Smaller items like framed photographs are placed on tables and sold through a silent auction. If you would like to get involved, or need more information, please call the camp office at 701-263-4788.
2017 Quilt Auction is June 24 at 10:00 a.m.
How do you prepare for a thousand kids anxiously waiting to come to camp? You have a work day! Cabins are cleaned, benches are repaired, walls are painted, gardens are planted, and much more is accomplished. Warm caramel rolls, chocolate chip cookies and a hearty lunch give fuel to the workers who give their time, talents and endless energy to ready the camp for summer. The 2017 Work Day is set for Saturday June 3. JOIN US!
Mother the Camp
Help fill your Bible camp’s pantry by “mothering our camp.” Any of the items listed here are food stuffs we eat a lot of at camp. Your donations add up to a significant cost savings. Drop off your groceries at the Christian Center, summer camp at Pelican Lake, or at your church in the month of May.
The next time you are grocery shopping for your family, keep an eye open for the big #10 cans of fruits, vegetables, and sauces. The large cans are easier for us to store, and when those hundreds of hungry campers come through the line, those big cans are easier to open and serve!
NOTE: We now have special ketchup and mustard dispensers. That is exciting, so we will not need ketchup and mustard as a Mother the Camp item.
