Family Fun Night – Metigoshe Lutheran
We enjoyed a fun evening of games, singing, creating, and learning about God with our families on Friday evening. Our theme was “Keep Calm” where we learned about Jesus calming the storm. Kids and adults had the opportunity to act out one the story by playing a disciple, Jesus, or the storm. Acting out the storm was the kids’ favorite one. We attempted to create some origami boats to remind us about the story and then created a Family Faith Kit to take home and use as a family later on. Overall it was a great night for some fun, especially after being cooped up inside from all the cold, cold weather we’ve had!
Super Duper Sunday School Extravaganza
The first of four events with Zion Lutheran Church in Berthold. We had fun hanging out with the kids during Sunday School playing games (watermelon patch!), singing songs and learning more about the Bible and what it means to us. We each shared stories and learned that Jesus read some of the same stories (old testament) we do today! We finished our time with a fun craft and singing No One Is An Island.
TMIR
This was our first time hanging out with kids at East Housing (part of the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation) this year. We are glad the weather held up for us this time! It was good to see the crew there and meet a few new faces. We played some games outside, had some good fun in the snow, and enjoyed a quick snack. (no pictures were taken as it was cold and we were having too much fun to remember a picture!)
Sunday Worship – Rolla
This was worship service number two for us at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Rolla. This time we created a new liturgy with camp songs that can be found on any one of our CDs. We also had the children sing a few songs with us during the service. The congregation was very responsive to the service and we are looking forward to joining them again in February and March! (we still need to work on taking pictures at this type of event!)
