Workday Wonders

On Saturday we completed amazing work in the garden as a part of camp work day!  A large number of volunteers pitched in to rake the dirt, plant seeds and seedlings, set up trellis and plant support systems, finish installing our fence, work on building a tool shed and starting our terrific compost pile.  We are so grateful for your help!

What is now in the ground as seeds:  sugar snap peas, green peas, green beans, soup beans, pumpkin, cantaloupe, watermelon, zucchini, basil, parsley, cilantro and dill.  We also have these plants that are already up and growing:  bell peppers, lettuces, spinach, beets, radishes, carrots, gourds and acorn squash.

In the next few days we’ll be adding our tomato seedlings, cucumber seedlings and some butternut squash seedlings.  What an exciting time!
