Our Family’s Adventure Anchored in Christ is a resource designed to be used in community. “Our family” can be a small group at church, part of WELCA Bible Studies, or used in the home – there are so many options! Our hope is that this resource might be a blessing in your faith walk.

Adventure

Love. What a beautiful word that sometimes gets confusing. As February is a month that we are reminded of love with candies, flowers, stuffed animals, and an endless supply of pink and red M&M’s it only seems fitting to talk about what does that word “love” really mean to us? Does love mean buying all of these “things” for somebody special once a year? How can we show our love to people all year round? How can we make others feel loved?

Anchored

Jesus showed us unconditional love when he died on the cross for us to cleanse our sins. How awesome and great is He that we deserved such a powerful love?

• How does it make you feel when somebody tells you that they love you?
• What are some ways that we can make sure someone else feels that way too?

In Christ

This month, think of someone that you appreciate and love that maybe you haven’t told in a while and send them an extra special Valentine this year. Make them feel special and loved and remind them of God’s love for them as well. Maybe there is more than one person that you think could use that reminder, make more! Spreading love, means spreading God, so PASS IT ON!

Dear God, Thank you so much for giving us the incredible gift of your unconditional love, send down to us the courage to spread that love and kindness to others who may need that extra reminder of Your love this month. Help us work through You, so that all may know and feel the abundance of your grace. AMEN
