Giving Tuesday has been a day of generosity that has helped to support a wide variety of projects and ministry programs over the past decade and more at Metigoshe Ministries. And this year, with the date set for Tuesday, December 2nd, your Giving Tuesday gift will go twice as far! Through the amazing generosity of an anonymous gift, all Giving Tuesday donations to Metigoshe will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $30,000.

Our donor recognizes the importance of ensuring that a week of camp, and the opportunity to experience Adventure Anchored in Christ, remains affordable to everyone. Therefore, the primary focus of this generous matching gift – and of our Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts – will continue to be growing our camp scholarship fund to ensure that we can continue to always “just say yes!” to anyone who requests support.

But those who made the matching gift possible also want to help camp provide fun and faith-filled ways for youth to enjoy their time at Camp Metigoshe. And so, there will also be a handful of “mini-projects” that your Giving Tuesday gifts will support! As we reach each $10,000 threshold, your gifts will “unlock” each of those mini-projects.

• At $10,000, you will have helped us unlock the remaining funds needed to purchase an aquatic wheelchair for mobility-restricted campers (an existing gift has provided for the first 1/3 of this wheelchair!).
• Upon reaching $20,000, 10 CampSnap screen-free digital cameras will be unlocked. These cameras will be given to cabin groups each week to document their time at camp and provide “camper-centric” photo views of their time at camp!
• Finally, once the full $30,000 match has been reached, the final mini-project will be unlocked: lumber and hardware needed to install a cabin-group sized hammock village! A few years ago, a Giving Tuesday project raised funds for hammocks for both camp and the Christian Center – and they are a huge hit with our camper groups! Now we’d like to provide a dedicated space to hang them, in addition to the variety of tree-hanging spaces spread throughout camp.

Please consider giving generously to help us reach our goal! Our mini-projects will have a price of approximately $5,000. This means that if we meet our full Giving Tuesday match, we will have raised $55,000 to help support campership needs at Camp Metigoshe!
