New Changes to Summer Camp

We are excited to share that there are a number of updates coming to Camp Metigoshe programming for the 2025 season!  We want to make sure that you’re watching our webpage and social media over the coming weeks and months as we prepare to launch a new adventure program for high school campers; add a new Family Camp option, update our other Family Camp; and create a new look & feel to our overall summer camp schedule.

As a part of our summer camp update, you will notice that we are moving from a 9-week summer camp schedule to an 8-week format. And it’s possible you might be asking why that shift is happening. There are a number of reasons, and they all boil down to wanting to ensure that we are living out our mission of “Adventure Anchored in Christ, where people experience and celebrate the gifts of God in a life together.”
As we looked at how we staff for camp each summer, and the patterns of when campers are choosing to come to camp, we’ve discovered that we can actually host the same maximum number of campers as we’ve always planned for over an 8-week timeframe. This will not only offer some financial savings (our core value of Responsible Stewardship) but also help to ensure that some of our smaller program weeks still have a large enough core of campers to keep energy and excitement levels high, and provide opportunities to meet and interact with new people as we grow in faith during our week at camp (our core values of Nurturing Relationships and Christian Faith Formation).

Staff has spent a lot of time planning for these new and updated programs and scheduling – and we are sure you’ll be as excited about them as we are. Make sure you’re following our social media accounts, website, and are signed up for our monthly e-newsletter to learn all the latest. Stay tuned!
