Reasons Why You Should Attend A Quilting Retreat

We are gearing up for our popular quilting retreats and we think you should join us! Just in case you have never experienced a quilting retreat at Metigoshe Ministries, here are some reasons why you should attend:

  • Lots of Space to Quilt: Our new space allows you plenty of room to quilt. We provide tables, chairs, ironing boards, irons and extension cords. You just need to bring your sewing machine and stash of material and supplies and you are good to go!
  • Get Lots of Projects Done: Do you have a bunch of projects waiting for you to either start or projects started that need to be finished? Our retreats are perfect for you to get those projects done. You will have plenty of uninterrupted quilting time to work on as many projects as you would like.
  • Fellowship with Other Quilters: The sound in our conference room during a quilting retreat is a joyful sound. Quilters work away and visit with each other, giggle, and absolutely love the fellowship they share together.
  • Delicious Meals: Our retreats include delicious meals! You do not need to worry about stopping your quilting time to prepare food like you would at home. You quilt right up until the dinner bell rings and we will have everything ready!
  • Cozy Lodging: If you want a good night’s sleep, our retreat center is the place to come. Our rooms have high-comfort beds and bedding that allow you to be comfy all night long (or during the day if you want to sneak in a nap)!
  • Beautiful Outdoor Areas to Explore: If you need a break from your quilting project, enjoy the outdoors in the beautiful Turtle Mountains. The hiking/biking trails are right out our back door, Lake Metigoshe is out our front door and there are plenty of things to do. In the warmer months, we have canoes, kayaks and paddle boats available to use. When the snow arrives, we have cross-country skis, snow shoes, ice skates and other recreational equipment.
  • Indoor Amenities: Need a break but want to stay indoors? Enjoy the indoor sauna, board games, little nooks to read by the fire or our conversational areas to visit with friends.
  • Get Inspired: Learn new techniques, patterns and tools you can use by spending time with other quilters.
  • Enjoy Faith-Filled Devotions: Each day quilters gather for a time of devotions. Enjoy quilt-related stories that will leave you feeling good inside.

These are just a few reasons why you should join one of our quilting retreats. If you decide this is for you, register at and sign up for 1 or more retreats. They do fill up quickly, so we recommend to register early. The upcoming dates are listed below:
