Welcome, Loretta!

We are delighted to share that Loretta Forsberg became our new Retreats Director and joined us in April.

Loretta is a North Dakota native, raised in the Kenmare area. She and her husband, John, make their home on a farm near Bottineau. Together they have two sons and their families—one living in Bottineau and the other in South Carolina—and they cherish every moment spent with their grandchildren.

One of Loretta’s greatest joys is creating handmade greeting cards. She loves teaching others how to make them and sharing her supplies, creativity, and enthusiasm. For her, the best part is seeing the joy on the faces of those who receive a handmade card—something far more personal than a store-bought greeting. In a world filled with electronic messages and quick communication, she treasures the simple delight of sending and receiving something meaningful in the mail.

When asked what excites her most about becoming Retreats Director, Loretta shared that she has always enjoyed attending retreats and often imagined how fun it would be to organize them. When she saw this position open, she felt it was truly a dream come true. She believes retreats offer a sacred opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life, use God-given talents, and experience peace, relaxation, and fellowship. Loretta looks forward to getting to know retreat participants and sharing God’s love through her work at Metigoshe Ministries.

We invite you to stop by and welcome Loretta to our community. We are grateful to have her join our team and excited for the gifts she will bring to our retreat ministry.
