Delicious Marsha Bars from Metigoshe’s Cook, Bethany!

Who’s Marsha?  I don’t know, but if I ever meet her, I’m giving her a big thank-you hug for coming up with this delicious recipe. It is one of the favorites of Metigoshe Ministries’ staff, plus our retreat guests. You can’t go wrong making this simple, but awesome recipe.

Marsha Bars
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
3 eggs
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 cup ground almonds
1 cup coconut
1 ½ cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees  and grease a 9×13 pan (or line with foil). Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. In a separate bowl, toss together the rest of the ingredients. Mix into the butter mixture until combined, and spread into prepared 9×13. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
